I found this great post about how to teach younger children about creating art. I can't wait to try it with Finn when he is a little bit older. For those of you with 3 - 5 year olds, I would be interested to know how the lesson turns out if you decide to try it.

Wow that is interesting. We are making Ethan a "big boy" room since the baby will be in his room. I want to hang up some of his "art" but haven't gotten around to having him do it. He's still kinda young but I may just try this next weekend! Thanks for the great idea!!
good article. The little boy and the big canvas remind me of that documentary about "my kid could paint that" did you see it? You'll have to come over to my house and we could talk for hours about kids and art. Happy Birthday! I hope all of your crafting dreams have come true!
